One of the things I have been exploring recently is all the different organisations in the area to see which ones I might like to join once we have retired early ! Nearly all of them offer a free Open Evening with refreshments and a talk and it is a good chance to meet new people and find out about something new. This is the one I went to last night, somewhere I wouldn't normally think of going ! I met a lot of nice people, the talk was interesting and I got a free drink. An interesting night out for just the cost of transport.
