More Seed Starting

Of all the seeds we started in January only the lettuce are really doing well. They have been planted out in the garden under the cold frame and are growing well. The radishes are still alive but very leggy and the tomato seedlings which were in the greenhouse have mostly died. So I have well and truly learned my lesson now, not to start seeds too early !

However, this weekend has been ideal. Yesterday we made a plan and so far have planted peppers, more tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines and courgettes indoors. We have started some leeks, turnips, french beans, peas and beetroot in the garden. Then in the greenhouse are some herbs and broccoli and butternut squash.

We have never grown butternut squash or aubergines before so fingers crossed that everything germinates and the warm weather continues. If it does then later on this week I'll plant some more lettuce and radishes !
