Well our strawberries are not quite ready yet but they are flowering strongly, so I am hopeful of getting quite a few to enjoy if we beat the birds to them ! That will be our first June challenge, making the most of the produce from the garden !
The second will be to see how many 'no spend' days we can have. Mostly we are pretty good about not spending but I need to pay back the savings fund which was raided last month for MasterShoestring's air ticket so that might be a good way of watching what we spend. We will be earning a bit more as MrShoestring has extra work in London but that also means spending more up front on transport, another reason to watch the pennies.
MasterShoestring's exams will finish in the middle of the month but then comes the 'prom'. I've written before about how to keep down the costs for this so I shall endeavour to out them all into practice, but it will probably also mean some unplanned for spending. So the third challenge is to keep the 'prom' spending low.
Fortunately there are no other big expenses in June so I'm hoping that we will also be able to out a few pounds into savings, so I guess that is challenge number 4 !
