All the mild weather means that we have been out sorting the garden and trying to get it ready for Winter. However, some plants just don't want to quit and this week we've found carrots, beetroot, potatoes and a marrow whilst tidying up.
Yesterday, whilst we were out we also saw this rare rainbow ice phenomena known as a circumhorizontal arc. I was taking pictures of the garden and just happened to have my camera in hand. By the time MrShoestring got his big camera it was gone !
This is the garden now, a lot barer, but still with a bit of parsley and some leeks ! We also have a few raspberries and some courgettes, tomatoes and cucumbers still producing in the polytunnel !
How's your garden ?
A circumhorizontal arc! Well, my garden doesn't have one of those....but it has a fair few leeks still to be pulled up (I am told they will be fine for another few weeks yet) but that's about it. I have a full freezer though having frozen lots of summer produce. And I still have some lovely roses. Shame they are not edible!
ReplyDeleteYes, we still have to pull up the leeks and put them in the freezer, it's a great feeling having a full freezer isn't it ? Glad to hear the roses are still doing well as gardens can begin to look a bit sad at this time of year !
