Time for some Baking

This was the pan of chocolate brownies which I baked for Valentine's Day. Later I decorated them with individual hearts and glitter sprinkles. The recipe is very easy, but very rich and is my 'go-to' cake for a treat for MrShoestring as it contains no sugar. The cocoa makes it gooey and very chocolatey !

2 cups self-raising flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup carob or other syrup e.g.) maple
1/2 cup non-dairy milk
1tsp vanilla extract

Mix all the ingredients together and if the mixture is a bit stiff add a little more non-dairy milk. Grease a 9x11 inch pan and turn mixture into it. Bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Cool slightly and then cut into very small squares, the usual size of brownie will be too large as these are very rich ! Enjoy !
